Purcell and Sprinkle Lectures set for Barton College……….

The E.G. Purcell, Jr.  Lecture will be held at 4:00 pm on March 12 in the Howard Chapel. Feature speaker is Dr. Barbara Thiede, the Assistant Professor Religious Studies, University North Carolina at Charlotte. She will be speaking on “Violence in Bible: Model, Mirror, and Warning”. 

The Thedford G. and Woodrow W. Sprinkle Lecture be held at 5:15 pm on March 12 at the Howard Chapel. Featured Speaker is Dr. Jonathan Edwards, Associate Professor of English Language and Literature, University of South Carolina. He will be speaking on “Political Sermons: Christian Nationalism and the American Pulpit”.
