The 30th Annual Golf Tournament will raise funds for Farmville Benevolent Ministries, (FBM) and is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Farmville Golf and Country Club.

The ministry exists to provide emergency financial assistance to people of the Farmville community.  Each week, FBM volunteers from several churches interview people who need help with their utility bills, rent, or mortgage. Applicants for financial assistance are carefully screened to guarantee eligibility, and records are meticulously kept ensuring a wise and prudent disbursement of our funds.  Everyone involved in Farmville Benevolent Ministries works as a volunteer.  About half of the budget of this ministry is raised at this tournament. Due to past inflation and the current high cost of living, our requests and assistance have been 35% higher so far in 2025.

For the golf tournament, just as in years past, we will provide lunch, as well as drinks and snacks, and of course, the always popular goody bags.  The cost this year is $75.00 per player, ($300.00 for a team of 4) which will include greens fees, cart, lunch, drinks and snacks, as well as prizes for winning teams and individual challenge winners.
