YARD SALE DONATIONS may be dropped off at First Christian Church now through Fri, Nov 5. (GENTLY USED and CLEAN clothing donations welcome!) Pick-up for large items is available by contacting the church 753-3179 or office@fccfarmville.org
We are getting excited about the 2021 Fall Festival to be held on November 6th . As in the past, this mission project is a gigantic effort and the opportunity for all of us to participate.
Yard Sale – 7:00 to 12:00 This year the sale will be outside and displayed under tents by designated categories which are:
Household items and small appliances
Furniture and décor items
Toys and Infant furniture/ strollers, etc.
“Gently Used” clothing
These items are now being accepted in the Fellowship Hall. If you need pickup, please call the Church office. Questions – call Christine Dempsey and if you have a tailgate tent we can borrow, let her know. She also needs gallon milk and water containers.
Country Store – 7:00 to 12:00 – We are promoting the Country Store this year with more items. You can help by assisting with: (Call Judy Owens or Sallie Eason with questions)

Men’s Breakfast – 7:00 to 12:00 – When you come to the Yard Sale and Country Store, don’t eat breakfast before. Wes and the gang will be cooking their famous sausage and ham biscuits, along with pastries and hot coffee. They will be serving outside the kitchen door.
Take out Dinner – Please contact Mary Steinbauer for tickets. Tickets are priced at $20.00 – $5.00 of which will go directly to take someone off the waiting list for Meals on Wheels for one year. The menu is:
Barbecue Beef, mashed potatoes, string beans, slaw, roll and dessert.
Meal trays can be picked up on the 6th between 6:30 and 8:00 by driving through BB&T’s parking lot.

In 2020, your past support of our Fall Festival helped us:
Provide 2 meals at The Refuge for about 90 youth working in town for Erasing the Lines
$3000 to get two people off of the waiting list for Meals on Wheels
$500 donation to the EMS Christmas gift fund
$500 donation to the troubled Nicaraguan CEPAD mission
$2500 to Camp Caroline
$100 to the Soup Kitchen
$300 to CareNet Counseling
and… *drum roll*
$8,500 more for supporting our FOOD OUTREACH ministries.

Here’s how you can view all the items available in the auction:
Type in: biddingowl.com/fccfallfestival
On the left, you’ll see “View Items” and a drop-down arrow next to it. You can then browse by categories OR you can view them all. (There are three pages of items)
When you want to place a bid on your favorites, click on ‘Bid!’ – this will take you to a page that signs you up as a bidder. It asks for very minimal information from you (no payment information required). If you want to be anonymous to everyone else who is bidding, just put a nickname in the box labeled “bidder display name.” Be sure to tick the box that says you agree to the terms and policy, and then ‘sign up.’
