The First Christian Church will host on its grounds the first ever community-focused Back to School Bash. It is a celebration that will welcome the beginning of the school year with fun games and kids’ activities, food, and a parent resource fair for the caregivers in Farmville.
Farmville Police will be available to hand out school supplies to those in attendance and there will be cornhole boards, and kids activities offered by the Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children and the Farmville Public Library.
During this event, we will also be accepting donations of school supplies for grades K-5 to be donated to our Farmville schools, Sam Bundy/HB Sugg Elementary School. If you want to help with this endeavor, call Melinda Sampson at 252-717-4961 or email her at melindasampsontoh@gmail.com
Food Update:
We are looking good for this one. We have about $150 donated to get the food. Our expected expenses for the food was around $200 and some change, so if anyone wants to donate a case of water or sodas on their own, that would be absolutely amazing.
We have $50 donated from Piggly Wiggly, $25 donated from Food Lion, $25 donated from Fred’s Club, $50 donation from Sampson Landscaping.
